The Round Rock Chalk Walk Arts Festival is Round Rock area’s largest and most prestigious (and the most fun, in our estimation) festival, attracting over 40,000 people annually to this free event on the first weekend of October.

Hosted by the City of Round Rock Arts and Culture, Round Rock Chalk Walk Arts Festival is a celebration of the arts, with highlight being visual artists creating beautiful sidewalk murals. Strolling the Chalk Walk affords you the opportunity to meet and talk with the artists who created these temporary pavement masterpieces. Beyond visual arts, the festival is also host to a handpicked roster of vendors, sponsors, local and regional musicians, theatrical performances, foods and drinks, and a children’s creative area with performances by children from a variety of local organizations, including the Round Rock ISD and the School of Rock.

The daily live entertainment will also include Friday and Saturday night headliner concerts (announcements forthcoming), all of which will make for a perfect weekend at Dell Diamond!

Admission to Round Rock Chalk Walk Arts Festival is free.

History of the Festival
Originally conceived by nonprofit organization Round Rock Arts, Round Rock Chalk Walk Arts Festival was established in 2009 and has vastly since inception. Needing more space for artists to create their pavement masterpieces, the festival has moved to its new location at Dell Diamond and is now hosted by the City of Round Rock Arts & Culture Department. With over 40,000 annual attendance, the event has an economic impact of adding more than $500,000 back into the local economy.
