I love going to the Zoo so I had to check out the Austin Zoo when I was there last month! I was so pleased at how many animals they had!
Great zoo, lots of animals. I have been to the zoo during the day as well as the during Halloween at night. Both were great times and the train around the zoo is well worth it. Plan for the day and pack a meal. The zoo is not right in Austin so plan for a trip if you are downtown.
Pros: Lots of animals, in the Hill Country so great views, train ride
Cons: There was a lack of sanitizer throughout the park, not in Austin so it is a bit of a drive, the store has very little "Austin Zoo" souvenirs, just generic animal/zoo stuff.
Fun place to bring the kids and see some cool animals!
