We're especially excited for this year's festival, as Letterpress PLAY Founder and Creative Director, Kyle Hawley, will be moderating The Chosen Ones: Celebrity Book Club Picks panel on Saturday, November 16, from 3:30 to 4:15 PM at First United Methodist Church (1201 Lavaca St, Austin, TX 78701).
In today’s competitive publishing landscape, celebrity book clubs have the power to elevate books to bestseller status. This panel will feature three novels handpicked by leading celebrity book clubs: Vanessa Chan’s haunting historical fiction The Storm We Made, a Good Morning America Book Club pick; Ashley Elston’s thriller First Lie Wins, highlighted by Reese Witherspoon’s Book Club; and Rachel Khong’s multi-generational novel Real Americans, chosen by Jenna Bush Hager for Read with Jenna on The Today Show. Join these talented authors as they delve into their unique stories and share the experience of becoming a “chosen one.”
