It's 2014, and this year the Trail of Lights celebrates its 50th anniversary! Our beloved Trail has changed a lot over the years, including on the operations and funding-side. Many Austinites don't realize that the Trail of Lights is supported entirely by individual and corporate donations. Beginning Wednesday, October 1, the Austin Trail of Lights Foundation is working to raise $50,000 for its annual fundraising campaign to help close the gap and fund 15 nights of the 2014 Austin Trail of Lights.
