Description

Originating in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the famous "Phat Sandwiches" became highly celebrated among the students of Rutgers University and visitors alike. The growing favoritism of the business inspired the owner to spread the success to Austin, TX. He relocated his business and family to open "Big Bite" in 2009. The history of the "Phat Sandwich" began in 1979. Marking the beginning of the fad, the "Phat Cat" was introduced and became the highest selling sandwich at Rutgers. our menu has since expanded and now includes over 30 "Phat" concoctions. But these hoagie rolls filled with select mixtures of everyone's favorite comfort foods are not all that is offered. Big Bite's cornucopia of choices include pizzas, wings, wraps, paninis salads, breakfast sandwiches, cheese steaks and more. The famous sandwiches became a huge hit on campus, sparking a media frenzy. Their popularity is still spreading to other colleges throughout the county, while "Big Bite" continues to uphold its positive reputation.
