Schmidt Family Barbecue brings over 75 years of legendary Lockhart tradition to Bee Cave, TX. We bring the staple traditions from Lockhart with some additions based on local customer feedback. We now have salad options, baked potatoes with a meaty twist, poblano cream corn and green beans. We specialize in craft meats including beef brisket, beef ribs, pork ribs (baby back, spare), bone-in pork chop, boneless prime rib, boneless pit ham, pulled pork, and a selection of sausage, turkey and chicken preparations. Get a chopped beef or pulled pork sandwich and pair it with a serving, pint, or quart of our famous beans, potato salad, slaw, and spicy or regular mac-n-cheese! Looking for something a little more on the light side? Schmidt Family Barbecue hears you, and we have a Smokehouse Salad that makes the critics rave in delight. Next to superior barbecue, Texas tradition is more sacred than that of the breakfast taco. Schmidt Family has a variety of breakfast tacos- and with a call ahead, be can even accommodate large orders in advance! We are open from 7a-10:30a serving breakfast tacos through our "to go" area. Lunch starts at 11 am and runs until we sell out! (doors close at 9pm Monday through Saturday and 8pm on Sundays We are located in the Bee Cave/Lake Travis area.
