The heyday of Hollywood's rise to controlling interest in the realm of cinema came to fruition, during the days of the silver screen, and became undeniable as the dawn of sound broke through and technicolor was here to stay. From "Flesh and the Devil" to "Gone with the Wind", "Sunset Boulevard" to "Rebel Without a Cause", "Carmen Jones" to "Some Like it Hot" — the battle between black & white and color was an exciting one.
From the end 1910s through the late 50s, Hollywood produced great works that conquered silence, the silver screen, sound and color. Hollywood attracted the greatest of hopes and created long-standing legends. During its Golden Era, Hollywood was the center of the world. Glitz and glamour, guts and drama, from the beautiful to the bizarre, the tragic to heart-stopping, Hollywood could do it all.
But like all good things, they must come to an end. As times changed, so did classic Hollywood. This Valentine’s season, step into Austin Influential Group Studios as we present our 5th installment: "Silver Gild & Gold Dust", an homage to the Hollywood renaissance. Join us as we recapture the brilliance of its silver days and golden era in support of Austin Pets Alive!
